Remember the DirMaster included in the OS/2 Essentials Pack? Its has been updated and now is Y2K compliat. To get it jump Hobbes and download enrdm23.zip (212.5K).

DirMaster is a full featured file and directory manager for OS/2 PM. It is based on the highly successful Directory Opus on Amiga. DirMaster includes 32 internal functions such as copy, move, rename, makedir, attribute, print, dirsize and search. DirMaster also supports Zip, Arj, Zoo, Arc, Ultra Compressor II, RAR and ZipZtream if you have any of these programs. It also supports 4dos/4os2 type description files for comments and descriptions of your files. In adition to this you can define up to 9999 user functions and assign these to external programs. DirMaster also optionally displays free memory, swapfile size and a configurable clock on its bottom statusline! The interface design in v2.x has been improved since v1.x, and it also enables the user to customize the DirMaster's "look" even more! You can for instance assign different colors to each button! News in v2.3: * Year 2000 compliancy fixes * Miscelaneous other fixes.

New in DirMaster 2.3 is Year 2000 compliancy. DirMaster Y2K statement follows:

DirMaster 2.3 has been updated and tested for Year 2000 compliance (Y2C).

Enriva Development can, however, not give you a legally binding written statement that DirMaster 2.3 is 100% Year 2000 compliant. Every complex software contains bugs - this cannot be avoided, because every user uses the software in a different way and a different environment.

This release also contains miscelaneous bugs fixes (most of which appeared in the version of DirMaster included with OS/2 Essentials 2.0. Some additional GUI improvements and fixes have also been included. 

This software is SHAREWARE and is provided as-is. The author will in no event be liable for loss of profits, nor incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use this software. You use this software at your own risk. This software may not be modified, disassembled or reverse engineered in any way, except by the copyright holder, Enriva Development.

DirMaster may be distributed in unmodified shareware form freely, provided no charge is made for it. Shareware vendors may NOT charge any fee for distributing this software.

Users are entitled to use DirMaster free of charge for a trial period of no more than thirty days. If the user wishes continue the use of DirMaster beyond this trial period, he/she must register.

DirMaster may not be distributed in registered form by any means. This includes distribution of registration NAMES and registration KEYS. Registration entitles the user rights to use DirMaster indefinitely. Registrations are non-transferable and non-redeemable.

You may use this evaluation version for up to 30 days, after which you must either purchase a license or remove it from your system.

When you purchase a license you receive a key to unlock the full version. This version can be used for an unlimited period of time and will not display the Evaluation notice on startup. The name of the license owner will also appear in the About box. The single user license is $39.50.
