Hi All.
GetRight has been updated to version 4.1.2 and I, @Macarlo, registered user, downloaded it and now this fine release is running on my Windows 2000 Professional.
GetRight is an indispensable piece of software. It successfully eliminates many of the aggravating problems that plague file downloads. We think the amount of control it gives you over the download process is fantastic.

More Information: What Is GetRight? What's New in 4.1.2.

Description
GetRight is designed to recover gracefully from the many errors that can occur while you're downloading files.
No matter how you lose your connection, GetRight can resume downloading a file. It can dial your telephone, download a file, hang up, and even shut down your computer automatically. It also can schedule files for later download, support a file mirror list, and switch between download sites transparently to ensure that you find the best download site. In addition, GetRight supports clipboard monitoring, which can help you start the download process more easily. Other features include username and password storage; integration with Netscape Navigator, Opera, and Internet Explorer 4.0; download filtration by file type; a "speed limit" that defines GetRight's share of your modem's resources; support for a simple DDE server; and the ability to use FTP search sites to find other places where a file may be downloaded.

GetRight also includes a GetRight Browser that allows you to browse both FTP sites and Web pages, the ability to download the same file (like stock reports or news) on a daily basis, and support for multiple phone numbers as well as skins for toolbars and other buttons. You can also set GetRight to launch only when you start your browser. In this latest version, GetRight can segment a file and download different pieces of it from different servers at the same time. This release also features bug fixes. In the unregistered version, advertisement banners are displayed in the application window, and fewer entries are allowed in some of the advanced functions. You may register GetRight for $20.

Major new things and other nice improvements in Version 4.1.x:

Major new things and other nice improvements in Version 4.x:
Fixes in 4.1.2:
Lockup for some people when adding a new download.
Add a checkbox under the Options button on the download window so you can set each file to be run/opened when done.
Added to the Export item so it can also export in HTML format...a simple little web page that has links and info about the files. Kinda cool :)
Added more status stuff for showing that it is searching for alternates.
GetRight®. GetRight is now officially a registered trademark of Headlight Software! Added the little ® symbol on the splash and web page.
FTP Search could trigger thinking the file is a web page. (The file was fine, just giving the message when it should not.)
If pause when a tray icon, show right image.
File size not always displayed right if FTP downloading (shows right some places, but not others.)
Fix possible problem with retrying when it shouldn't for some FTP errors.
If GRX file doesn't have a FILE item for a URL, use defaults to get a filename.
If used "Login" button with anonymous login, don't pass on to downloads.
In local filenames, change HTML escape & to & (There are many others, but that's the one I've heard about people encountering...and other common ones are illegal in filenames anyway: < and >)
And fix to show URLs and filenames on the download window right if they contain
&.
If error on FTP PORT command, make sure retries with PASV command.
If an empty file is being downloaded (0 bytes), handle better.
Added %J% and %-J% special values for Daily Downloads...number of days into the year.
Fix some "rollback" things
Fix some windows coming to the front ("summary" help things you see once.)
Pausing a whole bunch (like 20 or more) in-progress downloads at once could cause a crash sometimes.
Known Bugs in 4.1.2. Will be fixed in next version:
With the new Export as Web Page (Download Status, Export item), you must type in a HTML file type in the filename (.HTM .HTML) instead of leaving no file extension. Otherwise it will do the other .GRX GetRight Export format.
