IBM Bundles Technologies
from Apache and NetObjects
into WebSphere Server Family



IBM will provide commercial-grade support for customers using the Apache HTTP server, and will package it with the IBM WebSphere Application Server. Also, IBM will join the Apache HTTP Server Project, a collaborative development effort, and will offer NetObjects ScriptBuilder as the first component of a Web-based development tools offering. These enhancements will enable Web site developers to create a whole new class of e-business applications. (Also see next item.)

Version 2.01 of NetObjects
ScriptBuilder to Support IBM WebSphere

Version 2.01 of NetObjects ScriptBuilder, a Web scriptdevelopment tool, supports the Java servlet-based IBM WebSphere Application Server, and the JavaServer Page (JSP) technology co-developed by IBM and Sun Microsystems. The NetObjects Fusion andTeamFusion Web authoring products will become part of the WebSphere family.
Also, NetObjects is working closely with C2Net Software,developers of the commercial version of the Apache Web server, and for a limited time will offer a free, downloadable version of NetObjects
ScriptBuilder 2.01 to C2Net's customers.
