Code, Reduces Test Time, Detects Errors Better

ASM Europe, an equipment supplier to semiconductor vendors, has seen impressive results from using Java to improve the look and feel of its products. Graphics in Java ran "much, much faster" than in Visual C++. A superset of the supervisor took 12 months to implement, versus 24 with C++. Total lines of code decreased dramatically. Better error detection reduced testing time up to 70%.
