FRONTPAGE 2000 TIPS FROM PC WORLD
PC World provides some time-saving tips for using the new features in FrontPage
2000, including the ability to easily apply the format from one body of text
to another, to create a fixed background, and to show tags in normal view, among
others. Read the article at:

INTEGRATE MICROSOFT VISUAL SOURCESAFE WITH FRONTPAGE 2000
If you want to use the Microsoft Visual SourceSafe version control system as
a method of source control, you can integrate a new or existing Visual SourceSafe
project with FrontPage. The source control actions that are performed in FrontPage
will also be performed in Visual SourceSafe, as though the Web author had used
Visual SourceSafe directly. This article from Microsoft Personal Online
Support explains how:

CREATING HOVER EFFECTS FOR FORM BUTTONS USING DHTML AND CSS
FrontPage 2000 contains a rich set of Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and Dynamic
HTML (DHTML) authoring capabilities that allow you to create a variety of hover
effects. This article describes how you can create hover button effects for
regular form field buttons by using the CSS features and DHTML formatting:

CREATING DHTML EFFECTS WITH FRONTPAGE 2000
Dynamic HTML (DHTML) Effects allow you to animate almost anything on a page,
including text, paragraphs, pictures, buttons, and marquees. An effect is activated
by an event (such as clicking a mouse, loading a page, or pointing to a specific
piece of text). FrontPage 2000 DHTML Effects can be found within the user interface,
and they provide professional results without requiring the knowledge of scripting.

FRONTPAGE TIPS AND TRICKS
=========================================================================
ZDJOURNALS TIP: TO PUBLISH OR NOT TO PUBLISH
If you have a fast Internet connection, you may be accustomed to editing your
Webs live on the fly. Doing so gives you immediate gratification -- your changes
appear on the Internet as soon as you hit the Save button.
But so will your mistakes. That's why the FrontPage publish feature may be the
better way to go. With that feature, you create your
Web locally and then click Publish to upload it to the Internet--as long as
your Web server has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.
If you want to create a local version of a live Web, open the live version and
use the publish command to "publish" the Web to your local hard drive.
