Hi All.
I just tested here on my Server Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 6 another Internet
connections accelerator, NetTurbo 1.0, recently released by SharewareOnline.com.
It is an interesting tool and I compared his performance with others boosters
such iNTERNET Turbo (made in Israel) and SpeedNet (from Canada). NetTurbo is
very simple and very efficient. Have not complicated configurations but really
improves the Net connection performance. This nice soft is shareware and you
can try it 30 days for free, but note that in the shareware version some enhancements
are not enabled, only in the registered version you can use it. I rated NetTurbo
4 Butterflies:

NetTurbo strives to increase your LAN and Internet performance by optimizing the parameters of the TCP/IP network protocol used to communicate on the network. It adjusts such parameters as the packet size, receive and transmit window sizes, the number and size of buffers used, and numerous other parameters: more than any other other such utility!
Rather than forcing you, the user, to contend with a set of obscure technical details such as MaxMTU, Black Hole Routers, Auto Discovery, Receive Windows and so forth NetTurbo simply asks you to pick the scenario you would like to optimize for. It then analyzes your system based on that selection, and the rest is automatic!

Photo above shows the NetTurbo 1.0 configuration options
Configuring NetTurbo's Options
Using NetTurbo is easy! You simply select the network environment that you would like to optimize for, press Apply, and you're done!
Selecting your Network Environment
In order to properly select a configuration for your network parameters NetTurbo needs to know how you will be using the network. If for example you are primarily concerned with connecting to your home LAN the choices NetTurbo needs to make are different than if you intend to surf the web with a modem!
Rest assured, however, that you are only selecting your primary use. NetTurbo will almost certainly still benefit the rest of the scenarios as well.
Home or Small
Office LAN
This selection
is intended for small networks where all of the systems are on the same network
segment. This would typically apply to networks of 20 or fewer systems
all in the same building.
Corporate LAN
For larger networks of
20-1000 (or more) systems spread across multiple network segments, and where
routers are present. Such networks are often (but not always) spread across
multiple physical locations. If your network is spread across multiple
cities or large distances, you may wish to experiment with the "Internet
Direct Connection" setup below.
Internet Dialup
For systems where the primary network
task is to connect to the Internet or an Internet Service Provider (such as
MSN or AOL) over a phone line or ISDN connection.
Internet Direct
Connection
For systems
permanently connected to the Internet by a cable modem, DSL, ADSL, or (fast)
satellite link.
Restore Defaults
This selection will remove all optimizations
that NetTurbo has applied, forcing the system back to factory defaults for your
operating system.
