Ugh! Unfortunately I expended my time downloading the Netscape Communicator 4.61 GA for OS/2 Warp. The IBM web site for this browser is damaged and don't accept Get Right. I downloaded the file comm461.exe (9,781KB - 10MB second IBM) using Opera Browser FTP in 23 minutes, from this bugged country called Brazil, where telephone lines is very slow and problematic. I used an old US Robotics modem 28.800 (Sportster) and the IBM preview for this download is 43 minutes with 28.800 modem or 8 minutes with T1.
I just very happy because I can download this file without any resume (the telephone line was not broken any time!!!!) and I quickly install this GA expecting the fine performance announced by IBM! Hehehe!!!! There is IBM joking with OS/2 users oce again!
Yeah, man, this trash can't see correctly a simple search box as the Altavista search engine! I verified that Netscape Communicator 4.61 GA for OS/2 Warp also can see correctly any modern HTML code like the generated by Namo Web Editor or Macromedia Dreamweaver. If the page is using cells as frames the new Comm/4 made by IBM simply deforms it! It's simple preposterous, grotesque!
I also tested the NS 4.61 GA Composer and discovered that it to stay making errors and continues not saving ani CGI script if exist remote DLL!
In the photo below you can see Netscape Navigator 2.02 for OS/2 Warp running in the same machine and on the same Warp 4.0 FP6 that I used for this test. This browser shows absolutely correct the Altavista search box:

In this other photo below you can see Star Browser 5.1 running on the same environment. This browser from StarOffice runs fine and shows correctly the Altavista search box:

Do you like trash? Download this GA and use it! Fortunately exist StarOffice and the old and good Netscape Navigator 2.02 for OS/2 Warp!
Well, it's just this corporation, IBM (Institute of Black Magic), that announced no more free updates on Software Choice for OS/2 users and was discontinued the OS/2 Client. Here in Brazil, where I live, the OS/2 users are simply revolted with IBM and some of this users is thinking in ask Big Blue on DOJ. You don't like Microsoft, man? Join IBM and enjoy it! Are you informed that all IBM execs including Lou Gestner are using Windows NT?
IBM can make a decent OS/2 Server&Client as Windows 2000 and call it OS/2000. But the IBM's primary goal is the legacy. And IBM don't like SOHO users. Here in Brazil some users are thinking in remake OS/2 in order to release an open version.
