PMINews 2.0 Beta just released!


Southsoft, Inc. and Stardock Systems, Inc. just releases PlusPak:PMINews 2.0 Beta. With the new rewrite you will find that PMINews will be faster, smarter and more reliable along with a few new features. You can download the archive (pmi20b1.zip, 1,68MB) pointing your browse at:

Software Requirements


- OS/2(*) 2.x or Warp with TCP/IP (or the IAK) installed.

Hardware Requirements

- Any machine capable of running OS/2.
- 4MB of free disk space.


Documentation

All documentation can be found in PlusPak: PMINews's online help.
Simply select "Help Contents" from any pulldown "Help" menu.

Feature Requests

If you are telling us about a feature you would like to request:

- Please understand that all feature requests get added to a feature
database. We do not necessarily determine on the spot if your feature
will be in the next release or not. Usually, some amount of research
must be done before this can be determined.

Installing PlusPak: PMINews

1. You should have unzipped the file pminews.zip into a temporary directory already.
If you have not, please do so.

2. Switch to the directory in which you unzipped pminews.zip and run SETUP.EXE.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Once installation is complete, a PlusPak: PMINews folder will appear
on your desktop. Inside it you will find a PlusPak: PMINews icon a ReadMe file which will provide some valuable information. Please read the ReadMe file before running PlusPak: PMINews.


Special Installation Notes

Making a backup
-------------------------

Please make a backup of your PMINews installation files. Though we are willing to provide a safe area for you to redownload PMINews, it would save us a great deal of time if you save a copy of the pminews.zip file incase you have a hard drive failure or need to reinstall PMINews in the future.
