IBM, Public Sector Groups
to Launch "Small Office
Solutions" for Small
Business Use of Technology
In response to a new study of small businesses
and
technology, IBM, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and
the Small Business Administration are launching
the Small Office Solutions (SOS) initiative. Free
to small businesses, it includes "Small Business
ThinkCenters", a pilot program of fully staffed
technology help centers at local chambers of
commerce; a "Small Business Toolkit" of useful
information and resources; a new, interactive Web
site where small business owners can assess their
technology needs; toll-free help lines; and more.
