Photo above shows SPFig running on @Macarlo's Warp 4.0 FP6 SPFig for OS/2 Warp |
Hi All.
This Monday July 26 I visited Norloff's (I'm subscriber!) and I see a new OS/2
application called SPFig. Quickly I downloaded the archive (SPFIG.ZIP, 517KB)
and tested it on my OS/2 Warp 4.0 FP6. SPFig is an editor for images .gif and
allow you the possibility to anime it.

You can translate all the texts in SPFig : menus ,helps messages, dialog This is be done with a source file with SPfIG thera are splang.fr: the texts in french splang.en: the texts in english
How it work?
If you want to translate all the text in javior
1) copy spalang.EN dans spalang.jav
2) edite the file with yor favorite editor (fte i think?)
3) In all cases don't modify areas between [ ] and keep all them. except theses which begin with [M.: they are the messages identifications it is on theses areas you'll work. the simplest is to duplicate every block (text between '[' and '[') So yo have the original and the translated under see. First you replace in every copy EN by JAV
you have:
[M EN AIDE 25]
"Define the grid\n"
"open a menu to define the steps X Y of the grid"
[M JAV AIDE 25]
"Define the grid\n"
"open a menu to define the steps X Y of the grid"
yo can now realy translate
[M EN AIDE 25]
"Define the grid\n"
"open a menu to define the steps X Y of the grid"
[M JAV AIDE 25]
"Sblodovar qtz atchtomac\n"
"spetor qzt manirka spedenfi rachcosi x slrp rachcosi y enstrg atchtomac"
When yo want to test: in an OS2 session, in the good directory, send the command
sptrad spalang.jav JAV O spanim.msg
then spfig to see the result
whith
sptrad spalang.jav EN O spanim.msg
or sptrad spalang.en EN O spanim.msg
the original texts come back
Notes:
2 messages which are not to be translated but can be modified
[M FR CODEPAGE]
"850"
[M FR POLICE 1]
"8.Helv"
to change the font and the page code used
the text format
a text can be written in several lines
"this is a sample" can be writted
"this" " is"
" a sample"
the carriage return is done with '\n'
if there are text with %x you must maintain the order of theses %x
Theses texts are used to show variable objects
sample:
[M FR STATUT 8]
"Font %i.%s %s"
cannot be translated
[M JAV STATUT 8]
"Zorglub %s.%i"
but
[M JAV STATUT 8]
"%i Bulgroz %s sorbul %s"
is correct.
