SuSE Linux 6.2 is Now Shipping!

Hi Folks.
This Wednesday September 01, 1999 I tested the new release of SuSE Linux here. Sincerelly, I'm surprise with the fantastic performance of this Linux. I verified that it runs rather than all other Linux, but have a very specific configuration. In order to use SuSE for serious works you must be know Linux and...know SuSE.
I'm informed that several Internet Service Providers is replacing Windows NT by SuSE in order to decrease costs and increase stability.
I performed my test using a modest HDD Western Digital Caviar 2,5GB, just the device I used in my firsts test with Windows 2000 Professional. I formated this HDD in low level using the WDDIAG.EXE from Western Digital web site. After I write zeros on this device I connected it on my first IDE as a stand alone HDD and not partitioned it. I booted using the SuSE boot diskette and inserted the CD number one in my CD_ROM ATAPI 36X connected in the third IDE port (Sound Blaster card connector).
The boxed SuSE sent me me by Pronet ISP for test have a book with 460 pages and a set with five CDs. I suppose this Linux will request only the first CD for installation but it requested four CDs one after other! The install is easy and smooth and the only step I was forced perform it manually was the XFree configuration.
When I started the XFree I'm surprise once again because in the start menu I see one oprion called Suse and when I clicked it dozens of enhanced applications was displayed for immediately use!
I compared  SuSE's performance with performances of Caldera and Red Hat and I noted that SuSE is the winner!
