Hi Folks.
In the last week of 1999 I tested on Windows NT4 SP6 Companion 2.0, the ultimate
tool for webmasters that works in enterprise environment. Companion is not a
tool for SOHO users. I tested it managing my entire principal web site (above
four thousand pages) and creating sets of interactive and animated pages. This
new year I decided test Companion also on my Windows 2000 Professional. In the
photo above you can see Companion 2.0 starting fine on my Windows 2000 Pro.
In the photo below you can see Companion 2.0 running in sample web site, on
Windows 2000 Pro.

Companion was made based in a innovative philosophy about what is the really integration database-web editor. If you are Cold Fusion user or Macromedia DW user its possible that you judge Companion a hermetic and strange tool. But if you are a programmer experienced in the database management here is the right tool for you.

Folks, in the photo above you can see inside Explorer 2000 window the file CompanionSetup.exe (15.9MB) and this executable running, preparing the InstallShield Wizard for Companion installation. I installed it on my Windows 2000 Pro IDE without problems and the soft is running just fine here.
Companion is the first component-based HTML editor, site manager and script manager in one. Companion extends the principle of code reusability beyond the level of templates. Its innovative component-based solution allows you to reuse every segment of code (HTML, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, and so on) in the most flexible way. Companion is the perfect tool for medium to large corporate intranet and internet sites. Companion users are professionals experienced in both web development and scripting.
At this point I encourage you to jump my report about Companion 2.0 on Windows NT4 SP6 in order to read technical details about this tool and see the photos I made. To jump this report click the link below:
