Hi All...
I was just seeking for a decent e-mail client in order to take control on some jobs involving special notices posted on the Net for thousands of e-mail addresses when I was informed about the new release (version 4.0) of G-Lock EasyMail Pro, a powerful yet simple to use group email software. Quickly I visited the developer's website and downloaded the file (easymailpro.zip, 2.5MB). In few seconds I installed it on my Windows XP Professional, without problems and now this fine piece of software is running here just fine: all my problems involving e-mail tasks was solved with this one. G-Lock EasyMail, during the installation process, embeds Microsoft Office Premium 2000 (if you have one running in your machine, like me, of course) and with this improvement you can edit sophisticated newsletters using G-Lock EasyMail and send it to several groups (first, you must create these groups). If you are afraid of MS Outlook Express and tired of other e-mail clients that have not some fundamental features to increase your work on the Net, G-Lock EasyMail is the ultimate solution. I ratted this soft the maximum here - Five Butterflies - and recommend it for all professionals that are needing real performance.

WHAT IS G-LOCK EASYMAIL

G-Lock EasyMail is a powerful mailer which sends your message directly from your outbox to the recipient's mail server (without using any ISP's SMTP server). EasyMail has it's own SMTP relay which means fast delivery. It gives instant confirmation of delivery by checking the address before it sends, which eliminates the dreaded "Mail undeliverable" messages you can get. It can also get confirmation that your message has been read. One of the new features is a voice mail facility which has a wide range of compression formats for you to record in. The recording can be set to play automatically on opening of the mail or as an attachment. Another new feature is the auto zip facility. All you have to do is open the Zip attachment window, select the files you want to attach and as soon as you press "Send" EasyMail auto zips the attachments into one zip file so saving send and receive time. Drag and Drop facilities include attachments, text files direct to the message body and you can Drag and Drop a message you wa nt to reply to from Outlook Express. All the usual features are there too. Insert signature, address book with alphabetical tabs, priority button etc. You may create Groups of addresses in the internal Address Book and send messages to the whole group with one click of the mouse. HOW TO USE G-LOCK EASYMAIL

Right from the beginning, before you can send any messages, you have to enter Account Setting and Create New Account. You can create as many accounts as you like. Details like Account Name and User Information are required. To enter this information from the Message Control Screen, click the From button or select 'Accounts...' from the Tools menu.

To send your message to a whole group, just click the mouse on the Group box in the Message Control window and select the group from the drop-down menu which you want to send a message to. Then click the Send button on the Toolbar.

Configure your Connections Settings
It is highly recommended to use the DNS settings of your ISP. Just copy the detected 'Windows DNS settings' to the Primary and Secondary DNS boxes.

Further, you should correctly configure the "Domain Name for HELO": just enter the IP address or a domain name of your ISP, for example hotmail.com, or you can leave this field blank. You cannot use the email address in this field. Some SMTP servers (such as Hotmail, AOL, Yahoo, etc.) have the "advanced" antispam policy and compare the IP address where you have connected from to the IP address in the "Domain Name for HELO". If these IPs are not equal (not from one Net), connections will be lost. If you use connections through a proxy server, you should leave this box blank. In this case the program will insert the IP of your proxy server by itself.

If you have a fast connection to the Internet (DSL/Cable, T-1), you can use the maximum number of threads; If you have a dial-up connection it is recommended to use no more than 50 threads.

Create a Group and Add some Recipients
Now it's time to setup some Recipient Groups. To do this, click the 'Address Book' button on the Toolbar or select 'Address Book' from the Tools menu. There are two sections on the screen, Groups and Recipients. To create a Group, click the Group button and select the 'Create New Group' menu. By default you have the group named 'Default Group'. You can rename it as you like by clicking the right mouse button on the group name and selecting the 'Edit Group Name/Description' from the popup menu.

Once you have setup a Group you can add Recipients. Select the Group you wish to add to and then click the Add button on the Toolbar.

If you have Recipients stored in another file they can be also imported. To import them, just click the Import button on the Toolbar (on the Address Book Screen) and then select the 'Import Wizard' menu. The Wizard allows you to import your data from Paradox, dBase, Excel, Text or .CSV files (Std version) as well as from HTML, Lotus 1-2-3, QuattroPro, XML and MSAccess files (Pro version).

Prepare a Message and Send it
To create a message, just click the 'New Message' button on the Message Control Screen, write your message and check spelling of your message by pressing F7. In the (1) 'To' box, enter recipient's e-mail. Or, if you have your Address Book configured, click 'To' button, to choose any recipient from it. In the (2) 'Subject' box, write down a brief description of a message (title, etc). Once you have created your message, you can send it out simply by clicking the (4) 'Send' button on the Toolbar.

Important!To send your message to a whole group, just click the mouse on the (3) Group box in the Message Control window and select the group from the drop-down menu which you want to send a message to. Then click the Send button on the Toolbar.

Installing EasyMail 4.0

1. Make a temp directory on your hard drive.
2. Copy and Unzip easymail.zip to this directory.
3. To install EasyMail, run the setup.exe program from this directory.
4. Setup will guide you through the rest of the installation process

Unistalling EasyMail 4.0

• Choose Uninstall from the EasyMail 4.0 program group.

OR:

• Open the Control Panel (on the Start menu choose Settings, Control Panel).
• Double-click the on the "Add/Remove programs" icon.
• Search in the list for the item "EasyMail 4.0" and double-click on it.
